Talking about some sparks flying. Looks like Jace and Clary to their relationship to the next level. After a failed attempt to de-rune the bonding rune between Clary and Jonathan. Jace confesses to Clary that he will love her always in death and in the next life. Divulging further that he will do whatever it takes to protect her and has no intent to lose her again.

Maia starts to clash with her current Alpha leader, Russell. Knowing that there is only one option to challenge Jordan. Maia seeks an alternative approach by seeking guidance from Luke. Despite not being ready or to lead as she is unsure of her capabilities to care for a pack. Maia may become the Alpha after her pack is attack and Russell is killed.

Overall Thoughts

The episode did a great job navigating the roles of guardianship between clans, packs, The Prator Lupus, and Shadowhunters. Along with developing relationships in a practical manner. Even the breakup between Maia and Simon felt real. Some breakupa are amiciable.
