Fruits Basket Reboot Premiere Date and New Trailer

Fruits Basket, one of the most beloved animes of its generation, is getting a reboot and anime fans will not have to wait very long for it. Here are my thoughts on the new trailer and premiere date. If you’ve been following this blog, you will know that I am a huge Fruits Basket fan. It was one of the first animes that I have ever seen. I love the heartwarming, humorous and sometimes very tragic story. Check out the new trailer below:
Now before I get into the trailer, let’s get into the most important info, when will it be released? Luckily, for us fans, it’s coming sooner than we realize. The Fruits Basket Reboot will premiere on April 5th in Japan. And it gets better. According to twitter, Funimation just released information that there will be screenings of the first two episodes in select theaters on March 26th and 27th. Check out the twitter post here: Fruits Basket Reboot. Now I have talked a little bit on what I thought of the teaser trailer in an earlier article. In this trailer, fans got to see a lot more of what is to come and hear the Japanese voice actors for Kyo Sohma, Yuki Sohma, Tohru Honda, and Shigure Sohma in the trailer for the first time. I am liking what I’m hearing and seeing and it is making me even more excited for this reboot. The animation is stunningly beautiful and I liked how they modernized the characters a little bit, but still kept them close to as we know and love them.

It does seem like the trailer focused more on the emotional aspect of the show, which definitely pulled on my heart strings, but I hope the reboot will still keep the very humorous side to it. Fruits Basket was as good as it was because it made you laugh and cry sometimes in the very same episode. As for the voice actors, it seems that most of the dubbed cast will be returning to the reboot, but the Japanese cast will be different. Here are a few of the returning dub cast for the show: Eric Vale (Yuki Sohma), Lauren Bailey (Tohru Honda), Jerry Jewell (Kyo Sohma), and John Burgmeier (Shigure Sohma).
And the biggest news about this reboot is that this will contain the entire story. The original, while really good, did leave fans on a cliff hanger. For years fans have been clamoring for a complete telling of the story whether it be in a continuation of the old anime or a reboot. Well it is now here. Fans will now be getting the entire Fruits Basket story based off of the hit manga series by Natsuki Takaya. I can’t wait for this to come out in April. It’s time to bring this great anime to a new generation!

Aw, this was a really nice post. Taking a few
minutes and actual effort to produce a very good article… but what can I say… I put things off a lot and don’t seem to
    get anything done.
