Shadowhunters 3×07: “Salt in the Wound”

Jace and Clary continue their battle on the rooftops of New York City. The fiery redhead tries her best to keep up with Jace. However, Lilith’s control and Magnus’ elixir proves to be more powerful than the declaration of love by Clary. Suspended in the air Jace coldly informs Clary that, “He doesn’t love her anymore,” and allows her to crash land on a car. Paralyzed Clary calls Simon for help and is brought to the institute to heal.

Once back the institute, a still crushed Clary finally comes clean about that night at Lake Lyn. Leaving Alec Lightwood to make the difficult decision to either report what Clary did to The Clave or to protect those he cares about. Isabelle believes from her intel that The Malicah Configuration is powerful enough to trap a greater demon and Jace.

The Shadowhunters know that they need to get their hands on the weapon to not only save Jace but fight against Lilith. However, there is a roadblock in the form of Alicante as The Malicah Configuration weapon is being kept in the highly guarded armory. Forcing The Shadowhunters to make a risky choice to tell Jace’s grandmother, Imogen Herondale. However, The Clave is not the only threat Alec, Magnus and The Shadowhunters have to face.

After collecting her thirty-one human blood sacrifices, Lilith is ready to resurrect her son but needs one small detail to complete the ritual. Lilith summons Jace to retrieve the skin of Jonathan’s father, Valentine. Jace makes his way to Alicante to fulfill his mission. Once there he reunited with Imogen and under the possession of The Owl kills his grandmother in his quest to fulfill Lilith’s demands.

Before Jace is able to bring back to the skin of Valentine to Lilith. The Shadowhunters get the spring on Jace and cage The Owl with The Malicah Configuration. However, to avoid capture by The Clave Clary sends Magnus a special delivery of Jace, Isabelle and Alec to finish the plan. While Clary is imprisoned by The Clave.
