Dust Presents: Short Film On/Off Review

Recently, Bgeekyblog had the privilege to get a sneak peek into the short film On/Off which will be making its public debut on Dust April 18th. Here are my thoughts into this amazing short film. Dust has really been hitting it out of the park with the movies and short films that they have been premiering. This time it is with the short film On/Off. Winning 11 awards and getting 23 nominations, On/Off, is quite simply spectacular. Check out the trailer below:
Now I will try to give my general thoughts on the short without giving out too many specific details since it is so short. It is about 12 minutes long, but in those 12 minutes I was completely transported into the world seen in the film. The cinematography is stunning and the film has so much packed into such a short amount of time. I loved how thought provoking and emotional impact it is. I have watched it a few times to really digest every tasty detail in this. The acting is superb. I love how a lot is said without using much dialogue. And I love the music used in this and how it is used. Most of the film is silent, but the times that music (and sound for that matter) is used is done in such an amazing way that it really stands out for me. Overall, I really enjoyed this short film. I feel like I could watch it over and over and see something new and interesting or view something in a different way. For all you sci fi fans out there, I would definitely recommend checking this short film out when it premieres on Dust on April 18th!
