American Horror Story Season 8: Sign Of Times

It is that time of year again as fall premieres are around the corner. But nothing brings that Halloween feeling more than American Horror Story. The show dropped their first creepy teaser to get fans spooked for September 12, 2018. Here is what we know.

Rumors have been swirling for some time of an impending  crossover between ‘Murder House’ and ‘Coven.’ Fans and show executive producer, Ryan Murphy has confirmed that the series has always been interlinked with another. But having two of the fan favorite seasons confirmed for crossover has fans excited for Season 8.

The teaser clip promoting Season 8 follows the clear theme of  ‘Apocalypse’ with vivid scenes of birth, death, and resurrection. Along with imagery of skulls, demonic hands, nuclear clouds, hellfire, and toxicity, Season 8 gives an eerie feeling during what some feel “is a sign of the times” in the world’s current state. But also the ‘Apocalypse’ could be coming as the antichrist, Michael Langdon (Murder House), makes the world his domain. This is eluded to by the demonic baby seen in the teaser.

While we know little to nothing yet about Season 8 other than the theme and potential crossover, Ryan Murphy was quick to confirm the return of AHS of fan favorite cast member, Jessica Lange as she reprises her role as Constance Langdon from Murder House. Murphy also shared that witches will be returning with Taissa Farmiga, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, and Stevie Nicks herself! Of course, Sarah Paulson will be back to tackle three roles in Season 8; reprising both her roles from Murder House and Coven, along with new character Venable. Returning cast members; Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Billie Lourd have all be confirmed as well.

However, some actors will have completely new roles in Season 8. Fans will be introduced to Mrs. Meade (Bates),  Dinah Stevens (Porter), Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt (Grossman), Mallory (Lourd) and Joan Collins. Along with cast additions of Kyle Allen, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, and Billy Porter.
