AHS: Apocalypse Season Trailer Analysis

American Horror Story: Apocalypse’s premiere is around the corner and just under a week ago AHS dropped the trailer for Season 8. Leaving fans to speculate what exactly Ryan Murphy has in store for AHS’s die-heart fanbase. Here are my thoughts and analysis of the American Horror Story: Apocalypse trailer.

The Elite Family

In the trailer, we see a wealthy family aboard their private jet as they attempt to evade the apocalypse. While the names of characters will be learned tomorrow during the premiere. It is safe to presume that the character of Colo St. Pierre Vanderbilt (portrayed by Leslie Grossman) is trying to flee with her family Evan Peters, Joan Collins and what could be their assistant Billie Lourd. In the same sequence of the scene, we see Billy Eichner’s character screaming Coco’s name as a plane flies by transporting Coco and the family.

Later in the trailer, we see this same family dressed in royal purple victorian attire inside a bunker ran by Ms. Wilhemia Venable (portray by Sarah Paulsen). When I started by Billie Lourd’s character was possible an assistant to the family that is because in the scene in which Ms. Wilhemia Venable is hosting a dinner. Billie Lourd’s character is not dressed in the royal purple victorian garb. She is dressed in the servant attire. Therefore Ms. Wilhemia Venable has created her own aristocratic community doing the post-apocalyptic world. There is a strong theory behind Ms. Wilhemia Venable that she is lying to those she takes under her fold about the risk of radiation to keep herself in power.

The Witches Are Back

Madison Montgomery, Cordella Goodie, Myrtle Snow, and Misty Day are all seen in the trailer. Fans are quick to wonder just how Madison, Myrtle, and Misty are alive despite their character’s demises in Season 3: Coven. But regardless the witches are back and there may be a war brewing in the apocalypse. As we see the Miss Robichaux’s Academy in ruins with a strange man standing amongst the rubel. Fans are speculating that the man is Michael Langdon (portrayed by Cody Fern) the demonic offspring of Vivien Harmon and Tate Langdon. The scene is perhaps a premonition seen by Cordella after she sees herself being eaten to death by zombies.

Other Theories

  • Billy Eichner’s character is seen under an old fashion horse buggy. Perhaps trying to sneak his way into Ms. Wilhenmia Venable’s bunker to reunite with Coco.
  • Amazon Eve (Erika Ervin) from AHS Freak Show will make an appearance this season as apart of Ms. Wilhemia Venable’s assistance.
