American Horror Story: Will you be purging Season 7?

There is little that we know about Season 7 of American Horror Story. With fresh faces joining the cast and one shared concept art piece from show producer Ryan Murphy. Here is what we know about Season 7 and our thoughts about the potential theme.

Will Season 7 Be Worth Purging?

We know Ryan Murphy has centered Season 7 around the current election of 2016. Rumors quickly swirled that our current President elect Donald Trump and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton would be featured in some capacity on the show. Ryan Murphy was quick to silence the rumor, stating “We don’t have actors playing them. You’ll see them on television. The first 10 minutes of the season, this season, takes place in a very eerie macabre way on election night, and there’s something terrible that happens in the lives of our characters on election night as they’re watching it all go down. Which in itself was a horror story, so it’s like a horror story upon a horror story.”

Ryan Murphy has than released a concept art piece that looks to be a warped Republican Elephant Mask with a terrifying “Twisty the Clown” grin that gives off  a “Purge” like aesthetic to Season 7.

New Characters

Cast alumni Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, and Adina Porter will be returning for another season along with some new fresh faces Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner and Leslie Grossman.  There are no details at this time about their roles this season.  However, Evan Peters was caught filming with blue hair and looking a little roughed up talking to reporters. Billie Lourd even posted a photo on her Instagram sporting silver hair.

This could be a Season 7 styling to show a more futuristic community that has come out from the Presidential Election. This is even more terrifying knowing the divide in the United States with the current administration. For instance, like having communities turning on another and killing neighbors which would turn into America’s own ‘Civil War’ so to speak. This theme hits close to home for Americans and can be potentially the scariest season yet!

American Horror Story is set to return sometime Fall of 2017
