Team Arrow learns about Oliver’s son, Damien Darhk’s source of magical powers is discovered, and past transgressions cause tensions. 

Oliver Queen

After his son is kidnapped by Damien Darhk, Oliver finds himself in a hard place when revealing the news of his son to Team Arrow. Samantha Clayton comes to Oliver after hearing the news of her son, Willam. She claims that she was asked to go to Oliver by Barry White [The Flash].

Oliver reveals to Samantha that he is the Green Arrow, and introduces him to the team. There is an awkward reunion between Samantha Clayton and Laurel Lance. Clearly the two ladies used to be friends back in Oliver Queen’s womanizing days; Oliver once again cheated on Laurel with her best friend [Samantha Clayton].

Oliver is able to save his son with the help from Team Arrow and Vixen. William is reunited with his mother and William finally retires his Flash figure for a more suitable Green Arrow figurine. Sadly, their reunion is bittersweet as Oliver knows what he needs to do in order to protect William. He makes a video explaining that he is the Green Arrow and his father. He continues on to say that in order to keep William safe he asked  Samantha to move his son far away from Star City and not tell him where.

Felicity Smoak 

Felicity had the micro-chip implanted in her spinal cord and is starting physical therapy to start walking again. Knowing our favorite girl, she wants to go full speed ahead.  When her first day goes south, Felicity begins to feel anything but hopeful about being able to walk again or down the aisle.

She grows more detached in the episode after learning Oliver has a son. Felicity’s demeanor, throughout the episode, is anything but enthused with Oliver and his growing list of secrets. Add in the fact that she stays back with Samantha [William’s mother] while Team Arrow goes on the hunt for their son, and one can see why.

During her time with Samantha, Felicity learns that the choice to keep William a secret was hers; she wanted to protect her son.

Damien Darhk

Damien Darhk pays our favorite couple a visit and reveals to Oliver that he kidnapped William (his son). He seems to be unknowing about Green Arrow’s true identity.  This may give Oliver an advantage at the moment. We learn, once again, that Damien Darhk is using William as leverage for his wife to win the Mayoral race, in order to take over the city for himself. Oliver Queen retracts his campaign to run for Mayor of Star City in order to save his son.

Vixen

Vixen makes her prime time debut and is sought out by Green Arrow to help him save his son, that has fallen into the grasp of Damien Darkh. Vixen uses her necklace to sniff out William and track where Damien is holding him.  Agreeing to help Green Arrow find his son, she goes on the attack to take down Damien Darhk.

“I like you and I don’t like just anyone,” says Damien Darhk to Vixen during their first encounter, and he seems to know of her trinket’s (necklace) abilities.  We learn that her necklace holds mystical powers. Vixen believes that Damien Darhk is drawing his magical power from a source, just like she is able to with her necklace. She destroys the totem that holds his powers and saves Team Arrow from Damien Darhk’s grasp.

Olicity

Our favorite couple hits a rocky road when Felicity finds out about Oliver’s son, William. She is more upset by the fact that Oliver hid William from her, rather than telling her about him. Felicity becomes less enthused by the growing list of people that knew about William before her (Barry Allen, Thea Queen, and Malcolm Merlin).

Not feeling apart of his discussions and feeling an equal partner in their relationship, she calls off their engagement and declares that she needs space. She leaves her ring on his desk before walking out on Oliver.

Notable Moments: 

1. Thea cuts ties with Malcolm Merlin after learning his role in kidnapping William.
2.  William will learn about his father Oliver Queen [Green Arrow] after his 18th birthday after seeing Oliver’s video confessional.
