The Big Twist

Just as we expected, the “Big Twist” was the docuseries coming to life. After the hit of Roanake Nightmare, show producer Sid (Cheyenne Jackson) pitches to the network into making a second season. Properly titled Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell. Sid sweet talks The Millers, Lee and the actors who portrayed them on the show to go back to the farm house now owned by Sid himself. The best part is that they will be staying in the home on the blood moon! Now this sounds like a brilliant idea!

The farmhouse quickly shows the production crew and Sid their own tricks, after a crew member is killed while setting up the home for its guests. Than later Sid’s assistant has a fatal run in with the real butcher and piggy man just as she tried to make her getaway from Roanoke.

The Clash Between Actors and Real Life

With the big twist we learn more about the actors portraying the real life people involved and how life is for the real life people who survived The Roanoke Nightmare. Sadly we learn that Shelby and Matt are no longer together in real life. That post spilt Shelby begins to date  Dominic (Cuba Gooding Jr.) who portrayed Matt in the docuseries. This does not sit well with Matt Miller.  However, he agrees to participate in Season 2. The news of Matt signing on gives Shelby the courage to join him in hopes of reconciling with her ex-husband. There was no reconciling when Dominic shows up to the farmhouse unannounced where he is greeted by Matt’s fist and a very unhappy Shelby whose only requirement to do the show was that Dominic would not be there out of consideration for Matt.

We then learn of Agnes Winstead (Kathy Bates) who has taken the art of acting to the next level as her portrayal of The Butcher. She is seen walking down Sunset Boulevard dressed as The Butcher and waving a meat cleaver at tourist. “I dove too deep into the part,” Agnes claims. We have a feeling there is something else going on with Agnes after Sid reveals that she moved to Roanoke and her “Butcher” like outburst when she was let go from the series. She reappeared at the farmhouse as cast and crew arrive to begin filming.

Than there are the newlyweds Rory (Evan Peters/Edward Mott) and Audrey (Sarah Paulson/Shelby Miller) that met while filming Roanoke Nightmare. The two fell in love so to speak and were married just before returning to the farmhouse. Where they divulge to the group after a scare from Agnes. That Agnes once stalked and threatened Audrey to the point she called 911.

Lastly we meet the Lees’ and they are less than thrito meet one another. Monet (portray Lee in the docuceries) clearly has a drinking problem and tries to prod Lee into confession over the murder of her husband, Mason. Lee continues to fight for her innocence and blames Monet for her portrayal on the show.

The episodes ends with disturbing revelations, one being in the next 3 episodes where we will be seeing never before seen footage of The Return To Roanoke. Than there is and the completion of the phrase “Murder.”  Thanks to Rory, who stupidly tried to play the hero after Audrey was scared by the Piggy Man. Only to meet the ghostly nurses that stabbed Rory to death. Leading Matt to see the phrase completed in blood on wall with the famous last words, “R-was for Rory.”
